Respirator fit testing, also known as mask fit testing, is a process used to ensure that a respiratory protective device, such as a mask or respirator, forms an adequate seal around the wearer’s face. This testing is crucial to confirm that the wearer is receiving sufficient protection against dusts, mists, fumes, gases, vapours, and biological contaminants.
Mobile Screening provide quantitative fit testing which uses specialised equipment to measure the actual amount of leakage into the mask and provides a numerical result, known as the fit factor. It’s more precise and is used for higher hazard environments.
