These diseases (along with others) can manifest in restrictive, obstructive or mixed impairment.
Our field consultants have completed training that meets the standards outlined by the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand and The Standards for Spirometry Training Courses for the Coal Mine Workers’ Health Scheme and Coal Services. We only use the NDD Spirometer which sets the standard in spirometry. Our reporting and quality assurance team are highly focused on acceptability and repeatability criteria and use the grading systems from the ATS/ERS 2019 Standard, so you can be confident in the results you receive.
Employers are responsible for identifying significant health risks to their workers from exposure to dust, fibres, fumes, or other substances. When such risks are present, spirometry screening can be utilised to monitor workers’ lung health. For certain hazardous substances, this screening will be an integral part of a comprehensive health monitoring program.
